The Food Allergy Project established the Illinois Consortium for Food Allergy Research (I.C. Far) to bring together great minds from a variety of research and medical disciplines to find the origins of food allergy and to work towards a cure. I.C. Far is a multidisciplinary effort on behalf of Chicago’s Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago. The efforts of these three institutions are guided by an external advisory board consisting of Dr. Hugh Sampson, Anne Muñoz Furlong, and Dr. Barry Zuckerman, the chief of pediatrics at Boston Medical Center.
