A support group for parents of allergic children, F.E.A.S.T. meets monthly at the Memorial Library of Radnor Township and shares information via email between meetings. Topics of discussion include dealing with allergies in schools, sharing recipes and product suggestions, allergy testing, and handling different situations including restaurants, parties, etc. Past guest speakers have addressed new medications, alternative therapies, psychological effects and nutrition.

Our mission is to provide a forum where families can share their stories, their challenges, their accomplishments; to increase awareness of food allergies through education; to enable our food allergic children to identify with others like them. We host in-person meetings with speakers from the medical community, including food allergy doctors, dieticians and psychologists. Meetings occur monthly except in the summer (no meetings in June or July) and dates are scheduled based on the speaker’s availability so a calendar of events is included in our newsletter. In-person workshops on school, recipes and coping are also included in our newsletter events calendar. A newsletter is emailed with membership.
